How I Find Them
How I do it
Is to start by
Never knowing where I'm going.
Then, you see,
It's easier to discover
Through movement.
The way it feels
To blindly push your feet forward
Looking for rocks
Along the quick-running surface
Of the creek,
And so pleased to discover
Something solid.
The next best thing
Is the thing that catches you,
Like the currents
On which my wind-borne soul kite glide.
I'm going on an adventure
To find where I'll end up.
If I tarry
I may lose the chance,
And staying won't help anyone,
Not the hurting or broken,
Those who need what I have.
Bear me up
On your wings to their doors.
Deliver me as a gift poured out,
Filled to bursting along the way.
Let me go, go, go to the lands you know,
To the souls you covet
For your kingdom.
Let them receive me
As the stone underfoot,
As the updraft,
As your breath in their lungs.
