In Your Courts

I come into your dwelling place
To look around
To marvel
To remind myself why I'm here
I'm here to behold you
I'm here to still the parts of me
That want to leave

But you invited me
I still have the invitation
Sitting on the mantle
Of my heart
And you made the way
For me to be here
Cleared every obstacle

Not least of which was
My deep shame and unworthiness
In the scalding light
Of your presence
You clothed me in garments
Worthy of appearing before you
All so that we could meet here

Where you're beaming at me
So pleased I've arrived
And I am one more worshiper in your court
A convert won by your extravagance
Content to gaze,
Construct lowly lyrics of praise,
And stay
